Spiazzi è un esperimento sociale, un embrione di comunità urbana che trasforma luoghi assopiti e li fa vibrare di nuove energie.
La sede storica di Castello (Spiazzi 1) dopo 6 anni di attività, continua la sua sperimentazione artistica di produzione e formazione e da quest'anno amplifica la sua funzione espositiva raddoppiando lo spazio a disposizione da cento a duecento metri quadri in due sale completamente rinnovate, che da giugno, in occasione della Biennale d'Arte, ospiteranno il Padiglione Ufficiale della Georgia

Fortespiazzi, da poco entrata in attività, con i suoi trecento metri quadri di laboratorio e sala polifunzionale, diventa una finestra sulla creatività, a metà strada fra la Venezia insulare e la Terraferma. Un immobile dei primi del Novecento inserito nell'Isola "verde" di Forte Marghera di cinquanta ettari. Questo nuova realtà si offrirà alle migliori idee internazionali per dare spazio a tutte le emergenti forme di convivialità e creatività che stanno nascendo da questa "crisi positiva".

Spiazziverdi è il terzo luogo, esperimento di orto-giardino collettivo ma non solo. Un gruppo eterogeneo di persone (adulti e bambini insieme) che partono dalla produzione di verdure con le modalità dell'agricoltura sinergica spaziando nella più vasta creazione di benessere comune. Seicento metri quadri di ortus conclusus in un ex convento della Giudecca diventano quindi un incrociarsi di antichi saperi (la creazione di un orto antico) e di nuove tecniche (l'agricoltura sinergica di Emilia Hazelip).



Spiazzi is an artistic and social independent center, whose principal characteristic is the fusion of a gallery, laboratories for the artists, and projects of the “art of green”. During the past years it has organized different events and has given hospitality for the biennale projects. Progressively it also opened its spaces for foreign artists with the program of “Artists in residence”.
With the reviews of design auto produced Manos and Mestre Street Design, held in the gallery, Rialto market and in the center of Mestre, it proposes itself as catalyst of new ideas. For its characteristics Spiazzi can be considered  strong point of reference and a flexible and hospital structure for artists, craftsmen, photographers and designers, regular or passers by, that collaborate in the project of coworking.
Places
The historical center at Castello (Spiazzi 1), facing to a canal, distant only five minutes from the Arsenale and Biennale, after six years of activity, continues its experimentation in artistic production (design, ceramics and photography) and education; from 2009 it amplifies its exposition function doubling the space on disposal from 100 to 200 square meters displaced in two completely renewed rooms, with a typical internal venetian yard.
Fortespiazzi, active from the beginning of 2009, with its 300 square meters of laboratories and a multifunctional hall, has become a window for creativity, between Venice and Terraferma. A real estate from the beginning of the ‘900 placed in the “green” Island of Forte Marghera large fifty hectares. This new reality offers itself for new international ideas, to give space for all emerging forms of conviviality and creativity that are being born in this “positive crisis”.
Spiazziverdi is the third place, experiment of a collective garden-vegetable plot, but not only. A diverse group of people (adults and children together) that start from the production of vegetables with the modality of synergic agriculture largely varying in the creation of common well being. A hortus conclusus in an ex convent in Giudecca is the occasion to experiment the antique knowledge as well as new techniques.
